All Consuming Collage

On 31st May our guest artist, Danielle Vaughan (http://dvaughangallery.com) presented a great workshop on Collage. The starting point was a brief introduction and demonstration followed by a frantic first half when torn paper strips were selected and glued horizontally (by almost everyone) onto a cardboard base. Once these were dry, we were off , and consumed with action for the best part of 2 hours. Danielle had advised us that the background may not look too good to start with, but would be transformed on laying down the foreground. And it proved to be so.
Lots of fun was had by all and some good results produced, as shown below. Collage will never be the same again – what an eye opener for the sceptical!
