Inspired by the legendary Banksy, the latest workshop with Elaine Nash found us painting animals using old credit cards to scrape acrylic paint onto the canvas. This technique produces very loose, almost abstract paintings. As is often the case, we all started our projects with some trepidation, but as the morning wore on found ourselves thoroughly engaged and enjoying working in such a free and easy way. You can see some of the results below!
Of course, we were all having to contain our excitement over the looming launch of our exhibition in The Hub, Retford, which took place in the evening. The event was well attended, and I have to say, that the art on display looks stunning (you can get a sneaky glimpse of some of them in the photo’s above). I do hope you get the chance to pop in and have a look. The exhibition is open until the end of the month.
