Painting Pretty Poppies!

Our thanks go to Gwen Scott who conducted a really fun workshop last week (Fri 7 April) on painting a poppy using the wet on wet technique.

She showed us how to use lots of water and some strong colours to create a lovely washy background (yep, technical term there 🙂 ) before setting about with masking fluid followed by beautiful pinks and reds for the poppy.  As you can see from the pics below,  after following Gwen’s instructions we managed to produce a veritable field of startlingly beautiful poppies!
